Job Vacancy: Applied Psychology Intern

The GTC is looking to recruit 12 trainees according to the following requirements:

Contract Type: Internship contract – 5 days a week

Contract Duration: September 2021 – June 2022

Location: Bethlehem

Overview:

GTC Applied Child Psychology Internship Programme offers eligible Social Sciences undergraduates and graduates the opportunity to acquire direct theoretical and practical experience in clinical and educational psychology and research. The internship program is built through a collaboration between professionals from the Guidance and Training Center, NHS-Scotland and the University of Glasgow-Scotland, Dundee University, and the Glasgow City Council and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP)

The internship focuses on four main modules: Cross-Cutting Skills, Assessment, Intervention, and Research. Trainees will commit on a 5 days’ full-time basis, which will consist of theoretical lectures and practicing days at the GTC’s clinic and in schools, under individual and group supervision. A monthly pocket money wage will be offered to trainees.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  •         Have earned a Bachelor’s degree or earned/enrolled in a Master’s program in Social work and/or Psychology.
  •         Have at least an Intermediate level in the English language.
  •         Additional consideration will be given to any past professional experience in the field.
